Vandalism or Art?

Andrea Maaseide1 Comment

While searching for products for clients we often stumble across some new and interesting vendors. A few days ago I found an area rug vendor out of New York, Urplace.  Urplace has been pulling inspiration from the amazing street art found all around them in New York City to create cool and affordable area rugs for your crib..

Many of us are only familiar with graffiti as seen on subway cars, or as tags on sides of buildings.

But because of vendors like Urplace and graffiti artists like Bansky, whether graffiti is vandalism or art is a debate now in the public arena.

The bold and graphic colors would be a great addition to a room that is in need of a cutting edge design concept. And even though these might not be for everyone they definitely speak to the young urban generation.
