High Point Part I

Andrea MaaseideComment

Philippa and I spent the last two days in High Point, NC for the Spring Market. We were there along with every other individual in the design world it seemed.  The place was packed!  The people watching alone was a blast and it was fun to spot celebrity designers (Thom Filicia, Kelly Wearstler, Jeff Lewis, etc..). But our goal (besides visiting with current vendors and checking out products for current clients) was to find new vendors for art, accessories, and case goods and OMG... did we find STUFF!  Here are a few pics.  More to come tomorrow!

This beautiful piece is very reminiscent of the artist, Wolf Kahn.

These pedestals at the Golden Oldies Antiques could serve as a plant stand or even stand alone because they were that beautiful!

A new lighting introduction at one of our favorite vendors!

Glamorous and colorful.  Those ottomans are too fun!

This artist's pieces are just INCREDIBLE!  I can't wait to use her art in clients' homes!

These pieces from Lucky Fish Gallery are so pretty in person.  Almost like stained glass.

Bone inlay is as popular as ever.  This piece at Made Goods was lovely.  The silver mirror hanging above was also gorgeous!

Love this whole vignette at Made Goods.  Lots of modern, metal canopy beds at market this time.  Still seeing lots of shagreen, too.

This dude with a tray at Roberta Schilling was hilarious... He'd definitely add a quirky element in a home.

Natural Curiosities is definitely one of our go-to art vendors, so we were familiar with these pieces from the catalog and the website.  In person, though, it's a whole different story. The colors are so vibrant.  I would love to be able to use these in a project!
