Our oversized clock in our kitchen died a few months ago and it's been driving me crazy because I continue to check it as I race through the day. And it's always 9:20. At certain points in the day, this might cause an immediate freak out until I realize (for the thousandth time) that the clock is frozen in time.
To save myself any more unnecessary gray hairs, it's time to find a replacement. But a little inspiration first...
Apparently clocks don't always have to hang on the wall. I've seen this trend in art, too... where framed pieces are just casually leaning against walls. So cool, but would not fly in my house. These clocks (or art) would be destroyed in no time.
A clock like this in the foyer would be perfect. Larger than life Roman numerals glaring at you reminding you how late you are as you scramble to find your keys that you thought you left in the foyer and wait for your child to put on that shoe that was just in the foyer five minutes ago, but has suddenly disappeared. This always...I mean never happens in my house.
And then there's this idea... Forget the wall clock you have to hang. Instead, just make it part of your building.
Here are a few clocks I have my eye on.
